My name is Ikeisha Reliford, M.Ed.
I am a licensed Special Education Teacher that has dedicated my life and career to being an advocate for children.
All children are special and must be treated with love, dignity, and respect.
Every day I work to enhance the lives of my students through education. I very much understand the role of a school in a child’s life and that being an “amazing teacher” is a constant struggle to always improve on. Setting my ego aside to survive the hard days and willingness to work collaboratively with my fellow teachers and parents always helps. Balancing the needs of the students, when setting goals, is always a priority. In the end, when I look at my students they remind me of all the reasons why I love teaching. Their laughter and aha moments surpasses the stress of standardized testing and 4-hour meetings.
I believe this is who I am inside and out.
